WHIT BOUCHER

Meet the Artisits

Nicholas Ward

Nicholas Ward is a visual artist based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. His interdisciplinary practice spans oil painting, printmaking, charcoal drawing, woodworking, and muralism. Ward’s work is centered on the exploration of the mythic, cinematic portrayal of the American West, examining how the real and the imagined collide in the stories we tell about this iconic era. His work challenges the boundaries between reality and fiction, using distorted proportions and surreal imagery to evoke a sense of the fantastic within historical narratives. Through his exploration of storytelling, history, and human nature, Ward’s art invites viewers to reflect on the fluidity of memory and the ways in which history is shaped by both fact and myth.

Whit Boucher

Whit Boucher is a Woody Creek, Colorado-based artist with an affinity for the natural world. An all-connecting energy runs through every life form, Whit’s work attempts to capture and visually document that energy. Over the past two years, Whit’s work has evolved from acrylic painting on found mediums like metal and wood to precise pen and ink drawing incorporating facets of his graphic design background throughout the process. His latest collection “NOTHING LASTS FOREVER” (July ‘24 Aspen Collective Gallery) emphasizes attention to detail and attempts to represent the essence and inevitability of change by depicting flowers from the Elk Mountains. His most recent work delves into his graphic design and street art roots with his piece for Buckhorn Public Arts, “Mountain Foliage”.
